Sitges
We decided after Tarragona yesterday that we were going to try to explore a few other small towns that no one has ever heard of. We chose Sitges after one of our program leaders recommended it, mentioning that its beach is very well known and popular. We slept in and wandered to the metro around noon. We got off the metro and walked down the hill to the train station. We took a 45 minute train ride to a small town called Sitges. Sitges Train Station Sitges is south of Barcelona, on the Mediterranean. It is most well known for its music and film festivals. It is more quaint than Tarragona, but does not have the ruins. Sitges maintains its old-fashioned feeling, only allowing hotels and other touristy attractions near the beach.
